The decline of Accountability in Australia Part Two

After posting my first blog on this subject, I was asked to put forward some solutions. This certainly is needed; however, the present government will not implement them. So I could say, ‘what’s the point?’

I’m going to be a little drastic here; but this is only how I see things. Firstly, this government is degrading this country and many people in it. The government must go. How we get that done is another matter. There is no higher authority to do the job. The two most able are impotent: The Queen and the Governor-General. Without their muscle, what is left? Us! We the People! We have to do it. But how? As I pointed out, many Quiet Australians are not on Social Media. If they are, they hardly ever turn up on our Timelines. And when they do, we go off at them, often abusing them; so why would they change their thinking?

We need to appeal to those Quiet Australians in a manner they are used to and in places where they see it. Slogans, not three-word slogans, but seven to twelve words printed on A4 paper in large Print. Eye-catching. Plaster your town with them. Glue them to bus stops, on walls and notice boards. You could even get people to sign them before putting them up.

Here are a few suggestions:

THIS FEDERAL GOVERNMENT LIES, CHEATS AND IS DECEIVING YOU!

SCOTT MORRISON IS A LIAR, WHY DO YOU BELIEVE HIM?

LIBERALS ARE NOT GOOD ECONOMIC MANAGERS. WE ARE IN DEBT.

THE GOVERNMENT IS BACK IN BLACK IS A LIE. NOT EVEN NEXT YEAR.

IT’S ALL LABOR’S FAULT IS A COP-OUT THAT YOU ARE BELIEVING.

YOUR LIBERAL OR NATIONAL VOTE IS DESTROYING THE COUNTRY.

YOU WILL BE BLAMED IF YOU VOTE LIBERAL OR NATIONALS AGAIN.

WILL YOU LET  INDUE CARD MAKE MILLIONAIRES OUT OF THE POOR?

WILL YOU ALLOW FURTHER CUTS TO ALL ESSENTIAL SERVICES?

These are just suggestions. You may come up with better ones. We need swinging voters to change their minds, but to what? That is the million dollar question. Anthony Albanese is a weak leader and not Prime Minister material. He is easily talked over and sounds boring. Labor needs a new Leader, or they will lose the next election AGAIN. This time for real. He is so insignificant that I have never seen his wife or even know if he has one. I have seen the gorgeous Chloe Shorten several times. Chloe, the daughter of the very beautiful soul Quentin Bryce, once Governor-General of Australia and the best one we have ever had.

I know what should happen, but there is no pathway to achieving it. Scott Morrison stole the election from Bill Shorten. Bill Shorten would have won with a landslide if: no lies had been told by LNP candidates, if Clive Palmer had not invested $80 m worth of ads all lying about Labor; and if the Electoral Commission had not allowed cheating in two electorates. As it was, Labor won more Primary votes than the Liberals. The Liberals are nothing on their own. They are Leaners, leaning on the Nationals. The ALP is a Stand Alone Party.

Bill Shorten is far superior to Anthony Albanese in almost every way. I have one complaint with Mr Shorten though, and that is over Adani. I have the same with Albo. NO NEW COAL MINES! PERIOD! I do not want an Albo to be our PM, any more than I like a Scomo. It’s degrading the title. And yes, Bob Brown’s stupid convoy was very destructive and helped lose seats for Labor. He should have known better than to dive up from Tasmania emitting all those CO2’s, protesting against Adani. It’s not like they had a hope in hell of winning the election. Their actions were destructive on so many levels. If nothing changes because no one was prepared to do anything, I will have to vote Informal. I’ve done it before. I write on the ballot paper NO ONE WORTH VOTING FOR.

The jury is still out on carbon emissions. I haven’t studied it, but from a lay point of view, carbon isn’t a problem, though too much may be the problem. It has always been the particles that bother me, even nanoparticles. In the old days, we called them fumes, including smoke. I love the smell of burning leaves or a bonfire. We used to do that once; but the smoke from the bush fires was too much for our lungs this season and there has to be a solution found to lessen the impact of smoke on not only human lungs, but all animals and plants. They can’t wear P2 masks.

It should be illegal to steal an election, but this is a trend nowadays. Trump stole the election from Hillary Clinton through lies and cheating. When the most powerful country in the world does it, why not follow in their footsteps? I tell you why not. It is destroying the country, it is destroying humanity and it is destroying our TRUST in governments. It makes democracy look feeble.

We need to find a way to regain the government that was stolen and install the Hon. Bill Shorten MP as Prime Minister where he belongs. So much damage has already been done, he would have a monumental task ahead, I know. He could and would rectify some of the destruction, such as cuts to services.

You had better not talk over Bill Shorten, David Speers, he’ll soon put you in your place, which incidentally is back at SkyNews.

The solutions that I have put forward here will not save the planet. It will take a Think Tank of suitable people to do that. We must build better, farm better, recycle better and generally live better. Instead of concentrating on money, we need to concentrate on a more efficient way of doing everything and that includes our waste, even if it costs more. So what? Some businesses will close anyway, regardless. We must concentrate on Well Being. This is important. ATM we have a nation bulging with sick people, both mentally and physically. How good is Australia? Man burns wife and kids. Is this our new norm?

Methane from waste can be used as power. Less methane, more power. Anyone talking about that? Malcolm Turnbull was right when he said that we have to be innovative. More money for RND. And tax the rich, they can afford it. Tax the churches; they don’t deserve it and no funding for private schools. I went to a private boarding school which did not receive any funding. It does now and it now has better facilities. It has them now, they must rely on fees. Get rid of those Franking Credits. You see, now everything is affordable.

To sum up, we are up Shit Creek without a paddle. We can sit in our houses complaining on our Social Media sites, or we can act. I am not in favour of peaceful protests, especially now that face recognition is everywhere and we don’t even know where it is. Punishment awaits in one form or another. We must be doers, not complainers. I asked people to write to the Governor-General. I posted all my five letters to my blog. But as far as I know, only one person obliged. It was just too much trouble. That attitude will get us NoWhere. Have I made myself clear?

About eleanawi

Hi, I am Eleana Winter-Irving, a very youthful 79 year old. I own land and work hard. I built my own 4 bedroom house with a little help from my friends and I still regularly use a chain saw, fell weed trees and chop firewood. I keep fit by working hard and I also love dancing. If I am not out dancing I am at home, not anything old fashioned like waltzes, lol. I am a freestyler. I read a lot, love photography and going to places I haven’t been to before. I have travelled extensively all over the world to more than 30 countries and lived in 6 different countries. I have 2 children, both girls and both happy with long term partners. I became a grandmother in 2012. I can’t say the same for myself. I seem to be unlucky with men. I am very warm and affectionate with the ‘right’ person. I have New Age leanings, but not over the top. I am a Gnostic, so I don’t follow any religion. Religion is for those who are lost and can’t rely on their conscience to guide them. Yes, I am different from most people, especially women my age. If you dare to follow my blogs you will quickly notice that they are usually controversial. That’s me, I am controversial. I date guys in their twenties and thirties. They find me attractive and I find them attractive. I won’t date someone I am not attracted to, though it doesn’t matter for friendships. I am not into sport at all, though I was hockey and netball captain at school year after year. I like most music, except for heavy metal, rock ‘n’ roll, country and western, hip hop and rap. I do like some hip hop and rap, depends on what they are saying. I was born in India, educated in England and Australia and now live permanently in Australia. I have no claim to academia, though I consider myself intelligent, not intellectual. If you can’t think of anything to comment on about any of my blogs, that’s fine with me. I know it’s difficult when a subject is unusual. I write to get people thinking and of course if you do have something to say, I am all ears, lol. One thing, I doubt you will be bored with any of my posts. Eleana

  2. Dave says:

Tax the churches, the money is donated by hard working aussies and it was taxed already 2. The money gose back to the community one way or another … im sick of hearing that bigotry and ignorance, tax churches ….really. ? I spent 30 years in the church donating my hard earned money participating in outreaches and other community activities. 4 children mortgague on $450pw pay. So to every other member , we are all law abiding tax payers doing more than most for the community with our own money and spare time !
